Description:
We may have inadvertently changed the preferences in the mail segment of Communicator 4.5.
The problem is that now we have tons of info come up when we look at an incoming email. Below is an example:
Return-Path:
Received: from web.firstnations.ca (root@web.firstnations.ca [207.195.81.8]) by wally.internetnw.net (8.9.1/8.8.7) with ESMTP idMAA06697 for ; Mon, 15 Feb 1999 12:34:02 -0800
Received: from viper (ip125.net24726.cr.sk.ca [24.72.6.125]) by web.firstnations.ca (8.9.0/8.9.0) with SMTP id OAA15428 for; Mon, 15 Feb 1999 14:34:11 -0600
Message-ID: 199902152034.OAA15428@web.firstnations.ca>
X-Sender: tcyr@web.firstnations.ca
X-Mailer: QUALCOMM Windows Eudora Pro Version 4.0 Demo
Date: Mon, 15 Feb 1999 14:43:04 -0600
Etc, etc, etc. On and on.
Please help to us to make it go back to having only the basic iformation displayed.
Also, we don't have a "sent" box for the mail. Version 4.0 had one. Is there a switch for a "sent" box?
Thank you. We really appreciate your assistance.

Hi, Welcome to NoWonder.
First to get rid of that extra junk that shows up when you look at a message:
1. Make sure you have a message in view.
2. Go to the View Menu, then the Headers Sub Menu, and select Normal instead of All which should be checked.
Second, to get all your outgoing mail saved into a Sent mail folder:
1. Open the preferences from the edit menu.
2. Under the Mail&NewsGroups section select Copies and Folders.
3. There should be a section for "When Sending a Mail..." with a check box in it that says "Place a copy...", you may have to create a Sent folder ahead of time and choose that folder to store it in but make sure that checkbox is checked.
That should cover the 2 questions you asked. Feel free to ask as many more as you wish.
