I am a teacher and when I am at school I can send and read e-mails with no problems

However, if I am at home then I can receive e-mails from my school address but I can send them. Is there anyway that I can send them?

I do have other e-mail addresses that I can use, but the following error is reported:

Cannot send mail. The SMTP server does not recognize any of the authentication methods supported by Entourage. Try changing the SMTP authentication options in Account settings or contact your network administrator.

Thanks for your help.

Hi and Welcome to MacOSX.com!

You have two choices: Either you use your schools webmail service, if it has one. Most schools use something like https://exchange.yourschool.com . Did you get a username and password for a webmail service from your school? The other choice is, you use Apple Mail. Because right now your school doesnt support Entourage on Mac.
A few more questions that would help me:

Does your school have a server where you can save your things on?
Does your school have webmail service?
Does your school have an IT department?
What computer are you using at home?

Thanks and I hope this helps,

Yes, but I want to have access to my address book on Entourage. If I need to send an e-mail quickly from home then I do use the webmail service, but I want to set up Entourage to work correctly.

The other choice is, you use Apple Mail. Because right now your school doesnt support Entourage on Mac.

Yes, but it does not work for my mac

Does your school have webmail service? Yes, but I don't have access to my address book or spell check (not good for a math teacher

Does your school have an IT department? Yes, but not much of a help for a mac

What computer are you using at home? Powerbook, I use it at school and at home. Works fine at school, but not at home.

Also, I have an e-mail account with mac, but I always receive an error message if I try to send from it from Entourage. Right now, the only way I can send from home is to save the messages in the outbox, then when I get to school it will automatically send. (or use the webmail service)

Thanks and I hope this helps,

When you set up the account in Entourage, at the beginning when it asks you what e-mail format you use, did you choose POP, IMAP, or exchange?
You have to use exchange, and then type in the same username and password you use for webmail.
