I just got a Mac Account so now I can upload websites. I have uploaded a few simple websites, but I haven't been able to figure out how to edit a site once it's uploaded. I assume I should be able to do this, but I'm not figuring it out. Would someone tell me if editing an already uploaded webpage is possible on a Mac Account websites? If so, would you be willing to tell me how to do so?
Thanks,
Ragnes

Hi Ragnes

Go to the .mac.com page and click Help.
On the Help Page drop Down Menu, click Home Page, then click Editing Pages.

It will tell you how.

Bobw, thanks for your help. I did what you said and I thought it was going to work. And it actually did.

But now I see my problems may be more encompassing than just a simple one part question. For example:

Why did we go to Home Page for the information instead of iWeb. Am I not trying to publish onto iWeb? What is the difference between the two? I suppose this question is not as important as my other ones.

When I choose a template, am I supposed to be able to change the size of the photo box or the text box? Or am I confined to the sizes and spaces given? If I can change them, would you tell me how?

Also, I chose the Spring Newsletter. It says it's Volume XVII No. 2. It looks to me like I can't change that. Am I just stuck with that even though it would be my first newsletter?

If I can't modify the templates that are given, is there way I can create my own template? I imagine that I would need to go to Create a Page > Advanced. Is that true? I haven't been able to figure that page out and "Advanced" sounds a bit intimidating to me. Do I need to know HTML to use that option? If not, is it still difficult?

Thanks,
Ragnes

The easiest way to edit would be to do that on your computer using the software you use to creat the pages, then uploading to replace the existing ones.

On mac.com Homepage you can do limited editing and maybe be limited to pages created by iWeb.

Check Apple's Docs for info on iWeb;

I haven't used it so can't help much with that.

Bob, I apologize for the tardiness of my response. I have not yet checked the url you recommended. I will do that. Learning how to create the kind of page I would like seems to be more trouble than I had thought and I need to wait a bit before I can study it as needed. Thanks for your help.
