I'm working on a Mac Dual 2ghz powerPC G5, OSX 10.3.9
There are 4 people who log on to their own accounts. I have the administrator account.
I have an Entourage ver. 10.1.4 email issue. Comcast cable is my provider
My wife and children can log on to their account and launch Entourage and recieve / send email perfectly. They also have full access to the internet and gain full access to all sites.
I on the other hand cannot recieve or send mail. I get the following error message: "could not retrieve mail from the account.." Explanation: a connection failure has occured. Error: -23016.
I have checked and reentered all my entourage settings: smtp, mail server...etc. No luck.
I have access to the internet except to any site where there is a password or some kind of security. I cannot log on to my Citibank account. When I try to access an area I get a connection failure has occured message in spite of the fact that all other sites are available to me. This happens with a industry website I subscribe to that requires a password also. When I log on to the internet via my wifes account everything works fine.
It's driving me nuts? Help.

I was aware of that page and had tried the suggested solution before submitting my question to you. Since you were suggesting it again I though I would try it again. No luck.
I'm not a computer expert in any way but I believe that my inability to access secure pages on the internet and my inability to access email must be related. They are the only two things that I can not do that three other people with the same entourage software, same system, and the same network settings on the same computer can.
please forgive all the information that follows. I send it in hopes that it may hint at a solution.
While there are three other people that can access their email with the same settings they are not from accounts on the same entourage. In other words they are not accounts that where created by going to the tool tab, hitting accounts and hitting new.
They access their email from a seperate desktop that the mac allows you to create for each person. it's almost like there are 4 seperate computers in one. I have the administrator desktop which allows me to set master security and other various common preferences.
Have you seen this before? This seem like more than a "error-23016" problem.
You thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
