Since connecting my Epson Stylus Photo RX 510 to my Imac, I am unable to choose an image format (jpg, pdf, tiff etc) as I do not get the drop down menu. Also unable to scan multiple images to the same pdf file. Am forced to choose individual pdf files.
I have already tried twice to install the Mac OS version of the Epson MFD software using the original disks that came with the Epson MFD.
I had previously connected the RX 10 to a Windows XP PC and it was working perfectly.
Appreciate any help to fix this problem.

Have you tried an updated driver and other software from the Epson web site?
Here's some updates for your RX510
http://tech.epson.com.au/downloads/p...latform=macosx
Or, check at the Epson site that is for your own country, if you prefer.

I see that the files down load as Stuffit files (.sit), and you need Stuffit installed on your Mac. New Macs don't come with that software anymore, so it's a mystery why a company like Epson would provide files that need Stuffit.
Download this utility: The Unarchiver
http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/30810
Double-click on the file that is downloaded, then double-click on the resulting file. Make sure that Stuffit Archive (.sit, .SIT) is selected, along with others.
Drag that Epson file that you downloaded to the icon for The Unarchiver, and the file will uncompress. You will then have a .dmg file, which you double-click to open. Double-click on the file in the folder that comes up on your screen. That's the printer installer.
Follow the instructions to complete that install.
Too bad Epson doesn't provide any instructions for what to do with those files. Most other manufacturers give some helpful tips...
