My external USB drive volume will not mount...

This is exactly what happened:

1. I set permissions to NO ACCESS just before going to lunch at work
2. IGNOR PERMISSIONS was already clicked on
3. I ejected the disk and turned it off
4. Went to lunch
5. Came back and turned it back on
6. Volume won't mount

Now disk utilities shows a "blank icon" with the same name as the volume, but pressing "MOUNT" does nothing. On a whim, I repaired permissions on the boot volume and nothing changed.

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

Hello!

Well, something appears to be screwed up. You may want to try my favorite utility for this exact issue is Disk Warrior. It will bring that drive back to life. I have yet to recommend it and it not solve the issue.

Granted it won't solve ALL drive issues, as it is mainly designed to fix mounting issues like you are having.

It costs money, but worth it's weight in gold. You http://www.alsoft.com/DiskWarrior/]can buy it online and get instant relief to your drive woes!
