Computer Type: apple
Model: power mac 6500
RAM: 64meg
RAM Enhancer: None
OS Version: MacOS 8

Description:
I downloaded a file. When trying to open it I got a dialog box saying "File too large to be opened by simple text.
What do I do to open this file??

Thanx for your help!!

Oh, incidentally......When my Nov. issue of the magazine arrived, the CD was broken. Do you folks send a replacement when something like this happens or do I sue the postal service in small claims court??

To open your large file, use BBEdit or ClarisWorks. BBEdit Lite is a plain text editor that can quickly open any large text file. It can be downloaded from
http://www.shareware.com, http://www.tucows.com and most mac shareware archives.

Re: the Nov. CD: Call MacHome at: 800-800-6542 and explain that your Nov. magazine issue arrived damaged. They should send you a replacement CD.
