hi,

i need to know how to get flip4mac running. i downloaded the latest version, think its 2.2 or something. i went to my fav site to watch live streaming channels but the same thing happened. i got a install plug-in msg and it took me to the windows site to download media player. can u pls tell me how to open and make that app run. gimme an example or something to make me understand better

Dear Sanjana,

My name is Vinko and I will attempt to assist you.

If you followed Flip4Mac's installation everything should have set up for you.

I will assume you are using the Safari browser to try to access the Windows Media content on the site you desire. From within Safari, you can check to make sure Flip4Mac is installed. You can follow the steps below:
1. From the Help menu choose "Installed Plug-ins" menu item

This will show you all the Safari plugins that are installed. Flip4Mac should be one of them. If it is not you will need to run the Flip4Mac install again.

BTW: which site are you trying to access for the Windows Media content?

hey there,

i got the plug-in to work but now i have a different problem. when the streaming starts it starts to buffer and it plays normally and then after like a minute of playin normally the player icon seems to go too fast for the buffering percentage (shaded bar) if u know wat i mean. they r clashin and then streamin stops all of a sudden. when i wait for the buffering to finish and then drag the video bar it doesnt work. basically the buffering is too slow, is thr a software update for that problem?? i hope i din confuse u.

Can you please tell me which site and its URL that you're trying to access?

I am not certain what you mean, but if the buffering is too slow then it may be the fault of the site, your connection to the Internet, congestions on the Internet or your ISP.

hey vinko,

thank uu very much. im tryin to watch live tv on livemediaz.com and idesitv.com. u can try out both. looks like its a problem with streamin in quicktime player. because when i used to view these channels via WMP on windows it worked fine. the quick time player doesnt buffer too well.

Hi Sanjana,

Where are you currently located? Did you try it with WMP on a Windows computer from your current location? At the same time as with your Mac?

Unfortunately, I had not been able to find any live show to view on both sites so I am not able to confirm your finds.
