Howdy! The crash log doesn't really tell me much, but can you describe to me what conditions you had right before FontBook crashed? Were you loading a font?

the crash occurs when you launch font book. It has been like this for while, which isn't a problem, I use my font with ease, but it is troubling nonetheless to not be able to see the fonts...I thought going to Tiger might help, it did not.
I have many fonts, I would say somewhere in the neighborhood of 1000 (with all the families). Now I also loaded a Linotype Font Explorer and i get this message: *** -[NSKeyedUnarchiver initForReadingWithData:]: incomprehensible archive (0x62, 0x70, 0x6c, 0x69, 0x73, 0x74, 0x30, 0x30, which essentially says I have a bug somewhere. I have cleaned the font cache, taken out preferences and done everything that I know at this point. Its odd, because i can't seem to find anyone with a similiar issue, which is strange...any suggestions would be helpful.

Have you repaired permissions?
Also, boot in safe mode: command + s while restarting, wait for black screen, then type fsck -f and then reboot when the fix is complete. This will reboot you in OS X.
Make sure in Tiger that you have all your fonts outside of your LIBRARY/FONTS folder. I'd put them in the first level of your hard drive directory in a fonts folder (alphabetized, if at all possible). Tiger FontBook should be able to handle it.
Let me know if none of this works.
You might have a bad font in there somewhere. Do you have FontDoctor from Extensis?
If all else fails, do a repair disk from your install disk 1. Boot up with that disk, but don't reinstall os x. Just go to File/Run Disk Utility.

Make sure in Tiger that you have all your fonts outside of your LIBRARY/FONTS folder. I'd put them in the first level of your hard drive directory in a fonts folder (alphabetized, if at all possible). Tiger FontBook should be able to handle it.
Let me know if none of this works.
You might have a bad font in there somewhere. Do you have FontDoctor from Extensis?
If all else fails, do a repair disk from your install disk 1. Boot up with that disk, but don't reinstall os x. Just go to File/Run Disk Utility.
