Howdy! Are you using a font management program like FontBook? (It's installed on your OS X 10.2 or higher equipped mac). If you're on 10.3 or earlier you'll need any and all fonts in Library/Fonts so they're available to all programs.

If you're in 10.4 Tiger you can use FontBook and select fonts from any folder on your computer, they don't have to be in Library/Fonts.

Does this help?

Which fonts are you trying to use?

Have you "enabled" as well as loaded the fonts into FontBook?

Have you restarted Photoshop to make it load the fonts? Are you sure they aren't loaded? Sometimes fonts with one name will load in a program as their "Actual" name which might consist of some letters. For example, a bold helvetica might load "B Helvetica Bold".

Sometimes fonts just take a few seconds to load. Glad it worked out!
