I lost my password to my financial account file in Quicken verion 5 for the Mac. Please tell me there's a way to retrieve it?

Hate to be the bearer of bad news - The only way to retrieve the files is to send your harddisk to Intuit and they will open it for you with a large fee.
You may want to email Intuit to see if they may be of assistance on line. http://www.intuit.com
I have Quicken 5 - used a password untill I saw what would happen if I lost my password. So I immediately set up a new file without password protection. Best regards sharona@nowonder
