Hi,

Just a couple of questions I was hoping you could answer:

1. I have 2 folders in my Documents folder that I don't want there. The folders are "Microsoft User Data" and "Sing that iTunes". I tried to move them somewhere else, but they just came back. Are there some settings I can change to move them somewhere else?

2. I upgraded to 10.5.2, but I can't see the option to make my menu bar non-transparent, why is this? I have looked in the System Preferences where it should be.

3. Can you use a Macbook's iSight camera to video conference through MSN messenger?

Thanks for your help.

1. Microsoft User Data gets put in Documents my Microsoft Office. However, I Googled <"microsoft user data" folder mac> and the first result was the solution. I don't know about Sing that iTunes. Google about it for ask the developer.

2. It's supposed to be at the bottom of the Desktop section of the Desktop & Screen Savers pane of System Preferences. If not, try installing 10.5.2 again.

3. Has MSN Messenger for Mac been updated to include video support in the last couple months? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I was pretty sure not. There's a third-party client, aMSN that supposedly offers this support, cross platform included. If it doesn't work out, I recommend using iChat to AIM for known compatibility, not to mention a far better visual experience.

Hi Ben,

Thanks for that advice.
I followed the instructions for getting rid of the Microsoft Data file and it seems to have worked. I can't seem to find any advice on getting rid of the Sing that iTunes folder though.

A question about AIM - do you have to have an AOL account or can you use it with an MSN account (i.e. ...@hotmail.com)and see whether your friends with a hotmail account are online?

Regards,

Doron

I have IM accounts with AOL, MSN, ICQ, Yahoo, and Google, and I connect all of them at once with Adium, with contacts on my list that have one or more of these accounts. A/V support is through a cross-platform compatible plugin called Mebeam.
