Hi there Ali,

I answered your question in the forum as well. Try using the excellent open source chat client, adium. Its free, made for mac, highly customizable (plus you can download hundreds of pre made themes) and works not onyl with google talk but msn/ichat/aim/yahoo/jabber/icq and many others. There are even instructions on how to set it up with google talk on the google site here.
