Hi Bob,
That's very strange. Both Netscape (woohoo!) and Internet Explorer (eh) can read the standard JPEG (jpg) and GIF (gif) file types.
The only reason I can think of, without knowing the error IE is giving the person, that IE isn't opening the files is that the graphic file you're using is either not actually a Jpeg or a Gif.. or it's a special kind of jpeg/gif.
Here is a list of the types of JPEG's and GIF's:
JPEG file formats:
------------------
JPEG: Can use the JPEG 6.0 format with or without Progressive Scanning.
Can use the Quicktime JPEG format.
JFIF: Spinoff of JPEG and rarely used.
GIFf file formats:
------------------
GIF 87a: Older version of GIF. Doesn't allow transparency or animation.
Can be interlaced (gradually appears through pixellation) or not.
GIF 89a: Only supported by newer browsers (Above Netscape 2.0).
Supports Transparency, GIF comments, and GIF animations.. unlike 87a.
Can be interlaced or not.
Internet Explorer SHOULD be able to display all the formats above, but maybe not. Try converting the graphics file you're using to a different JPEG or GIF format. The easiest way to do that is to use GraphicConverter.. which produces almost all graphics types, and is known to produce images that work on PC's.

Hope this helps, thanks for using No Wonder!
