TICKET ARCHIVE -> Hard drive no show

OS Version: System 7.5.5

Description:
No hard drive icon. Used Norton Uts. to boot. can do but nowhere to put system. Boot from 7.5 disk still no place to install to. Can read flopies. Is Hard disk fried?

Dave,

If you can still boot from a 7.5 CD, run Disk Tools until you have no errors on it, then run Norton a few times until there are no errors with it either. If your disk came back to life, congratulations, if not try doing a clean install of the System software.
