Description:
1)my stickies won't let me quit with out force quiting therefore losing my info.

2)I get an error message when I try to install some software. Most recently mac os8.1 and tomb raider II. The error message said their was not enough room on my hard drive or the disk maybe locked. Well I have 2.3gigs of disk space available and the disk is not locked. What can I do? I wondering if I need to just reformat my hard drive. I am baffled!!!! Please help.

Hello Robert,

Judging by the data that you have provided, I would say that the stickies problem might be a Preference problem You might try trashing the Prefs and see if the problem goes away.

When you install software what might be the problem is insufficient RAM not HARD DISK space. 16 MB is really insufficient in today's world especially if you are using the Internet where the smallest browser is 11MB.

In closing, I would ask if you regularly re-build you desktop and run diagnostics on your Mac? They will not solve all of your problems but will aid in keeping your Mac running longer and more smoothly. Also, always turn off virus detection software and extensions when you are installing any new software.
