Description:
After I had followed the directions Andreask gave me in his "Response To Tracking #116152", I tried clicking on the item "Contents" in the "HELP" Menu of Windows 3.11 and this similar error message with an added statement as follows: "System Error. Divide By Zero or Overflow Error. OK." Then when "OK" was click: "Help is not available for the desired dialog box." From the option "About the Progrm Manager" of the "HELP" menu, I learned that my memory is 109818 KB free and Resources 78% free. From clicking the "Plug=In Help Contents", I got the "Divide By Zero " error message when I clicked the "HELP" buttons in the Morton Utilities "System Watch" screen and on all the many other programs in my computer like MS Works and Natscape Explorer. The new WIHHELP.EXE file didn't help. What nest? If I reinstall Windows 3.11, will it damage of destroy the data I have in some of my programs or the other programs themselves? If re-installing Windows 3.11 would help, is there precautions and certain steps I should take to re-install? Thank you very much for your Response #116152 and for any further help you give. I have 28 MB RAM, 65% Resources, 73% User Resources, 104.9 MB Windows Memory, 10.5 MB Physical Memory, 94.4 MB Virtual Memory, and 194 KB Dos Memory all free.
Thank your, Sincerely,
J. WALLACE McKNIGHT

Hunt through your Win311 disks and find winhelp.ex_. Copy it to C:\temp
From DOS, type EXPAND c:\TEMP\WINHELP.EX_ C:\WINDOWS\WINHELP.EXE to decompress the file into your windows directory.
If this doesn't help, I suggest re-installing Windows.
How did you lose it in the first place? Have you run chkdsk /f from the DOS prompt?
