Greetings! Brand new member here looking for some help. I'm new to OSX (not to Mac) and have been fairly successful getting acclimated to my new iMac G5. This morning I attempted tp print some checks from Quicken 2005 on my hp 5650...and each time I get a briefly frozen "Printing Page 1" dialogue box,
then the program crashes. I have NO problems printing in any other program. Any insights and/or fixes would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks in advance for your efforts...

Technical level? Not a novice, but nowhere near possessing any "programming" knowledge/skills.

Hi Garry

Your question has been sitting here for awhile without any responses, so I'll give it a shot.

In Quicken, under the File Menu in Page Setup, have you choosen your printer there?

Have you removed any fonts from your system?

Do you have the latest version driver for your printer/

Hi Bob.

Thanks for your suggestions!

1). Printer was chosen.
2). No fonts removed.
3). Downloaded latest driver as I was initially setting up.

Talked to a tech at Intuit (for free!) using the 800# on
their website. He talked me through two fixes, both involving rebuiding the Backup Files I had installed from my old Quicken 2K program to suit the new version. The second fix worked (but he had me clicking around so fast there's no way I could document it here). It turned out one of the old Quicken 2K files from the Backup Folder was corrupt. I eventually had to re-set all of my preferences. etc. but that was a small price to pay to be able to resume check printing.
I don't know if you archive these responses, but I hope this helps someone in the future. Just call the Intuit tech folks. Despite the rumors, they're not monsters.

Thanks for your help!
