TICKET ARCHIVE -> Help! Trying to Boot My Powerbook G4 With Restore Cd?

Ok i'm trying to boot my powerbook g4 with the restore cd's that came with it, i've tried holding c and i get "panic: we are hanging here.." message with a bunch of code before it, also I've tried holding option and the same result, what do I do? I'm running 10.4.2 and the install cd is10.3.5 is this why? Do i need a copy of 10.4?

Boot up your PB with it's standard boot drive. Then insert the CD and choose the restore CD as your boot drive. Restart. Sometimes, this works better than pushing and holding "c".

Thanks, I didn't think to try that yet, unfourtanly same results..it should'nt be a bad restore disk, i only used the CD's once when I bought the PB a year ago and they worked just fine, now I get that same screen no matter how i boot.
