I have recently installed Tiger and noticed that my "Mac Help" in finder only works if i kick start Help Viewer from the applications folder instead of using the help button in the toolbar. If i try to use help from the toolbar, it opens the app window then before the cursor comes up in the search field, closes down.

I'm using a powerbook g4.

This is really frustrating.

Hi,

These steps are for OS 10.3 but you might find them helpful.

I'll try that, thanks. By the way, do you know what i can do if i get an error message that says "no mountable file systems"? i'm trying to open a .dmg file but it keeps coming up with that message.

Thanks,
Lisa

It is likely that the disk image you want to mount is corrupted. Download it again if you got it from the net.

Hi,

You're welcome! Can you post a link for the disk image so I can test it?

Peter
