The easiest way is to back up your important data and erase and install a new copy of the OS. You should also choose a different password which is non trivial such as random letters and numbers.

What makes you think you have this anyways?

An easy way to stop the spam from being sent is to install Little Snitch. It'll ask you to allow any network connection and you can block any that you don't want. It's not going to get rid of the hidden program but it'll stop it from sending out any spam if that's indeed what is happening.

From there, you could back up your computer and reinstall everything. That way you won't have to worry about anyone spying on you or using your computer until you get it fixed up.

It's possible that it's a known trojan horse for which there are a few of for OS X. They don't spread automatically and they're quite hard to get onto someone's computer. Virex or some other virus/trojan scanner should pick it up and fix it if it's known, but you're taking a chance of buying the program and having it not find anything.

Hi,

Now that I have installed the Tiger I have an iCal that is slower than a snail. Do you have a remedy for this. I am not able to find anything at the apple web site yet.

Thanks again

Sorry, I don't use iCal but I do know that it's not the fastest program out there. The colours and "blob" shapes it uses seem to slow it down.
