Knowledge Level: I'm New!

Problem: Combination
Computer Type: Quicken
Model: Error message
RAM: Not related
RAM Enhancer: None
OS Version: Not related

Description:
When I fire up my Quicken program, I get the message: "The application "unknown" has unexpectedly quit because an error of type 1 occurred." I then restart Quicken, and the problem has disappeared. How can I correct this and assorted oddball glitches? Should I buy Norton Utilities to troubleshoot such problems? Thanks for any help. Doug Reed

the best way to get rid of that problem is to reinstall Quicken. If the problem presists than its probably a conflict with some other program. As for the other oddball glitches, I'm sure I could help you if would elaborate a bit. Norton Utilities will help you with some problems such as a fragmented Harddrive or corrupt files, but if your problem is software conflicts (such as extensions) then it won't help. A better program for those conflicts would be Conflict Catcher from Casedy&Greene. Again if you tell me your other problems I'd be happy to help.
