Dear Maram,

My name is Vinko and I will attempt to assist you.

Please note that Mac users rarely reformat their Macintosh. This is only done when all other options had been failed. Similarly your Mac also should not crash.

If your applications start up slowly that means the Prebindings for your applications may be corrupted.

Normally you can perform the update of the Prebindings using the Terminal, but since you are a beginner and I assume also a beginner for Unix. We do not suggest you go into Terminal, as you can do major damage in there.

Instead you can use one of the 3rd party utilities to update the Prebindings. Like Cocktail and OnyX.

Although these applications protect you from the commands you can perform within Terminal. You should always read the respective manual to understand the purpose of the function before you execute them.

PS: it sounds like you had recently purchased your MacBook, do you still have AppleCare? You should call customer service to replace your original install disk. There is no other way to get the original install disk.

I hope this helps.

Regards,
