How do I sync my palm software with my address book, ical etc? I would think it would do it automatically but I haven't figured out how the get them together. If I create vcards and upload I just get doubles of everything.

Assuming that you have the standard Palm desktop software installed, you would go to the Applications folder and start up iSync. It's been a while since I did it for mine, but I believe that is where you can set the sync conduits for the Palm.

I believe this has worked - Now when I attach my palm it sould automatically sync with ical and address book right?

I am surprised that there is not a more versitile/user friendly address book app for mac.

Am I missing something?

When you attach your Palm, the synching should happen.

As an alternative, those who use Office for the Mac often use Entourage (the Outlook equivalent) as a substitute for contacts. That's the only alternative I know of.
