I'm trying to connect my Canon LBP-810 to my Mac OS X. I don't know much about mac so am really struggling getting anything to happen. I've read a number of things about CUPS and Gimp or something but not really sure what to do???? Any advice, in laymans terms please! Thanks

From my perspective, it will be impossible to print to that printer directly from OS X. Here's info about the only driver I know of that "could" be adapted to OS X:

On the other hand, if you still have the PC, it can be made to work as a print server:
