Is it possible for me to get the microsoft office 2008 for free? I downloaded it and it says something required is not available. What can i do?

Kenny,
Where did you download it from and exactly what is the error?
I did find a free download here:
http://www.download.com/Microsoft-Of...-10823120.html
Keep in mind that a free download maybe missing some components and not have full access to all the features.

Kenny,
I just tried it and it works for me. Where are you accessing the internet from? Home,School,Work? Give it a try again.

I tried again and I'm accessing it from home. It says " You cannot install microsoft Office 2008 for mac 12.0.1 update on this volume. A version required to install this update was not found on this volume." It said that when i was supposed to Select Destination.
Thanks

Kenny,
Then that file is an updater, not the full install. My suspicions were correct. You need to buy the full product, as Microsoft would never give it away for free.
That web site is misleading as it does not say updater.

Is there a way i can get it for free?

Kenny,
No, I am sorry. There is no way legally to get the full Office application for free.
Computer programers have to be able to make some money to pay their bills.
