Go to System Preferences. (Apple Menu on the top left, fourth thing in the column. Then go to Accounts. There you can change everything to do with accounts.
Please tell me if you need any more help.
Ferdinand

PS: You talked about an Apple iBook G4, and then about an iMac. On the CD that you got with it from the student from Japan, does it say iMac or iBook. If it says iMac, but you have the iBook laptop, then the CDs wont work with it. So its as if someone bought an Apple Laptop, and got CDs with it from a Sony DVD player, which has nothing to do with Apple.

Or did you just mix it up and I didnt understand you?

Dave B. told me to tell you that you could buy Tiger (10.4.6). Because the CDs you have now are totally useless.
Ferdinand

PS: It costs about $109.
