good day - i have an intel macbook pro. im starting out with applescript and am writing an options menu.
can you please let me know as to how i can program the function keys to call up this script.
i've looked on the internet but not found anything
the only option i saw was a 3rd party program. is this the only way to program these function keys ?

thanks

As you'll find on the Mac, there are many things that aren't built-in but can be handled by small accessories that are often freeware or low-cost shareware. Naturally, there are also usually more than one to choose from. In this case, the next to come to mind is Butler.

While Apple does a great job with its built-in feature set, and in each OS upgrade ends up putting a few third-party applications out of business, it still relies heavily on the Mac development community to create these cool specialized applications.
