HI Ks,

You need to restore your "application" icon back to your hard drive. Do you mean your Applications folder????

If that is the case, if it's not in any Finder window, do a Search for it. It should turn up.

When you post for help, could you please indicate which Mac OS X you are running? If you have 10.4.2, you can use Spotlight to Search...very easy!

Also, where are the applications that are in the Application folder? Like Address Book, Calculator, Dashboard, Dictionary, Font Book... ??? Those are the applications that reside in the Applications folder.

Please post back... I will try to help you the best that I can :-)

HI Ks,

OK.. you need to Restore your system software. Anytime you move a very important folder such as Applications and then it's just up and disappeared and it doesn't respond to a Search... then it's gone.

Follow the instructions on your Mac Help menu using Disk Utility and restore your system software.

Carolyn :-)
