I would like to know if there is a way to transfer files from the Mac Pro to the Windows XP which is partitioned on the same hard drive.

Hi Jim

You can only write to the Windows partition if you formatted it as FAT. If you formatted the Windows partition as NTFS you need third party software to write to it. A simple work-around is use a flash-based USB stick, which you can read and write from both OS (they usually are FAT-formatted).

Thanks bobw, I have been experimenting and I found that I could do a drag and drop which is probably going to be ok for my situation, but it's nice to know I can use the stick if I get into larger transfers.
