I have a great old HP Laserjet6MP.
Is there a way that I can use it with a Mac 10.4
Thanks
Bert

The best, future-compatible way is to buy a parallel print server. This will make your printer a network printer, compatible with the latest network products like wireless routers, etc.
Or, you can buy an ethernet-to-localtalk adapter from Asante or Farallon, which will put your printer on the network, but it doesn't use TCP/IP, so it isn't future-compatible.
Or, you can use an old OS 8 or 9 Mac as print server by installing Apple Localtalk Bridge software, and using the localtalk (old round circular 8-pin) cable, computer to printer.
I purchased 3 parallel print servers on ebay for around $25 each, and they work very well. You can get HP jetdirect models, that originally sold for $249, for $25, and they have added features when used with your Laserjet. Make sure you buy a print server that uses TCP/IP, not older Novell or IBM token ring network protocols. You can research this by downloading manuals or specification sheets from the manufacturer.
Good luck.
