DESCRIPTION:

Many times (too often) when I use Hilgraeve's
Hyperterminal to connect to the University's VAX from home, it disconnects me as soon as I click on the "Dial." No rhyme or reason. The next try it might or might not work (i.e. no loose wires). An additional pain is that i can't redial; I have to get out and restart Windows. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I need more information from you:
OS type, model and make of the modem, phone line type, properties of the connection ie. speed, data encoding, version of the Hyperterminal program; it appears on the splash screen.
