I am not entirely sure if its a g4 or a g3 but it sais in the bottom it was made 2001 if that helps, anyway I forgot the password I use on it to run my programs and stuff so I would like to system restore it to bring in back to how it was when I bought it i don't care about losing anything I have on there.

Antonio,
Get your original system install CD. Insert that and when you come to the first opportunity to access the menubar, you can reset your password. That should be a lot easier than reinstalling the whole system. If that doesn't do what you want to do and you wish to put the system back on, then just follow the steps that are listed when you follow the CD prompts. You said you don't care about losing anything, but make certain first by checking your data files. You are given the opportunity to initialize your hard drive and do a "clean install" which will totally erase everything on the disk.
Hope this helps and thanks for visiting macosX.com

Antonio,
What system are you looking for? What are you using now?

OS 9.1?? Wow!! My suggestion would be to try and find somebody that has disks for that old of a system. You can follow this link and find some step by step instructions from Apple for restoring that system.

Sorry I can't be more of a help. If you want me to resubmit this to the pool, let me know and I'll do that. But, without the software disks you'll be hard pressed to restore or reinstall a system.
