Hi Peter

Try this;

Open your Activity Monitor in the Utility folder. Look for iTuensHelper or anything with iTunes and quit the process from that window.

Then move the following files to your Desktop;

com.apple.iApps.plist

com.apple.iTunes.eq.plist

com.apple.iTunes.plist

com.apple.iTunesHelper.plist

These files are located here;

user>library>preferences

If you don't have all these files, move any with iTunes in the name.

Then try iTunes.

It has been fine since I bought the unit 2 weeks ago..no problems.

Peter

Delete the Library and Library.xml files (normally in your user's Music folder). Drag them to the desktop, launch iTunes, and recreate the library by using the Add To Library command and select your iTunes Music folder.

I would trash the iTunes app and do a search for anything iTunes on your system and trash, except for the music albums, then reinstall iTunes form the Tiger disks. Boot from the Tiger disk and choose Customize button and select ONLY iTunes.

To be honest Bob I think you are right, because its showing Fatal Excpetion errors on the report, for some reason there is a problem in the code, it looks like it needs a full re install, although when I tried to download it and re install..it said you have nothing to install, its not like windows where you can overwrite, is it..but I will do a search for anything with Itunes app and then trash it..then boot up using the disc...thanks Bob
