My iBook G4 has 40 GB, it shows that i have used 37 GB. How do i clean it out and go back to zero.

Danny,

Do you want to completely empty the drive or just delete those files that you no longer need?

First, go to Home>Library>Cache
Empty the contents in the following folders:
DashboardClient
iChat
Safari
Mail
Metedata
Quicktime

Empty the trash.

Now go to your downloads folder and trash all those files you no longer need. Installers that you downloaded but never installed, installers that you have installed such as updates.

Open Mail and delete all those old emails that you no longer need such as jokes that you have read and passed on.

This should free up a lot of space. Let me know how you do - or if I missed the point of your question.
