HI. I own an G3 iBook 800mHz, 640MB RAM. I'm into independent movie production, and I figured a Mac would be a good choice for this purpose. I've worked on other macs to produce movies and DVDs and founf that they all work amazingly well. The problem I'm getting is that when I try to import video into iMovie from the computer, the feed comes in choppy. It'll start importing, then become choppy. I don't know what's causing it, but I would like to start using iMovie as soon as possible. Any ideas?

HI Michael,

Depending on which camcorder you have, you might want to check the manufacturer's web site to make certain it's compatible with your iBook.

Also, you indicated you are using Mac OS X but if you could indicate to me exactly which version it would help to troubleshoot your issue. If you aren't certain click the Apple logo top left of your Desktop, then click, "About this Mac"... a pane will appear and give you the exact version. Also, which iLife are you running? iLife 05 or 06?

Regards,
Carolyn :-)
