Hello,

I have integrated all my contacts birthdays into the address book field. Then in iCal the birthday calendar comes up displaying all the birthday's that i have entered from my address book. Since the birthday group under iCal is essential read-only, is there a way to include a reminder much like you can with other groups that are created in iCal. (ie display message with sound 2 days before)

No, you can't do that. But there is a free widget:

which will display the upcoming birthdays within the period you specify.

That is unfortunate this cannot be done with just ical and address book.

Thanks for the widget though, give me one extra reminder to look at!

True. I think you should give your feedback. Go to iCal>Provide iCal Feedback. The more you ask, the more you get. I believe that Apple listens and you will get your wish.
