TICKET ARCHIVE -> iCal and birthdays

I now have two of each birthday on my iCal and cannot figure out how to delete one without deleting them both.

Are you using the Birthdays calendar connected to Address Book? What happens if you turn off that preference in iCal? Cycle back on?
