I have the same problem discussed in \"Tiger Slows Ical\": sluggish behavior. The Activity Monitor shows me that iCal completely takes over the CPU. Yes, I can create a new account and the problem disappears. But I need to use my Calendars.
Might I have login items that might be in the way? How can I check?
The activity logs show the new user account and my account have a few slight differences. One is that my account uses Support/SyncServices/Local/clientdata and the new user doesn\'t. Might this matter?
I don\'t have anything like SIMBL in the InputManagers folder. Another site located problems here....
Any thoughts?

Ok, I appear to have fixed this myself: I launched iSync, opened the iSync Preferences, and then turned OFF "Enable syching on this computer." Problem solved. Who knew. What would I do if I needed to sync my Calendar with other apps or other devices? I don't know.
