I'm using Tiger on a G4 1.42 Dual mirrored door system.

This morning when I started up, iCal wouldn't bring up any of my calendars, events or to-do items. (I have iCal as a startup item). I did a Force Quit on iCal, and it said it was not responding. I've restarted and repaired permissions and I am still unable to get iCal to respond. If I leave it running, I get the rainbow spinning ball. I have a feeling my database has somehow become corrupted. Unfortunately, my backup does not contain the com.apple.ical.plist file.

Is there any way to recover all my calendar data?

Thanks

Hi Patrick,

Don't worry about deleting your com.apple.ical.plist file. It doesn't contain any calendar data, just various pref settings that can be reset in a few moments. If this file is corrupted (and they do get corrupted) then you could experience the problems you have. You may find deleting this file sorts you out.

regards
Tom
