i accidentally deleted ichat from my computer. I use mac osx version 10.2.8, and i need ichat for that version.Do you know how i can get it back or download it?

Hi there emily,
This may well be problematic as iChatAV for 10.2 was a paid upgrade, some 30 dollars i think, but this product has now been discontinued. You _might_ be abel to persuade Apple to provide it to you again with a proof of purchase, but I fear they might not help you.
Other than that you'd really need to get a copy of 10.3 or above as they come with iChatAV. For the cheapest route I suggest buying a copy of 10.3 from ebay. There are some pretty good deals (you can get it for 30-35 dollars), and you'll get lots more than just iChatAV that way. If you take this route make sure to get a boxed retail version like this not one that shipped with a specific machine like this or this.
Other than that, skype for OSX now supports video chat, and might work out for you. If you don't use the voice.video functions then there are free chat clients like adium that run msn/aim/jabber/yahoo and most other networks.
Sorry to not provide a direct fix, but as i said, that product was discontinued by apple.
