Hi There,
I've tried to configure iChat for use with jabber for use with the google talk service. I know my account works since I use it with a PC at work.
I have followed the online setup instructions http://www.google.com/support/talk/b...y?answer=24076
iChat successfully logs into the googletalk service OK. however when i try and send a message to a contact i get "Jabber Error: Unknown Error". Not very helpful. I have even enabled port forwarding on ports 5222 and 5223 on my router back to my mac, in some vain attempt, but that doens't help either.
I've deleted the jabber account twice and set it up again and again to check I hadn't missed something. Didn't help.
I've done a little scooting around the 'net and not found a solution, only a Guy who has the same problem: http://groups.google.co.uk/group/goo...f03ed06c613b1d who I've contacted and has not found a solution.
Your thoughts much appreciated before I loose the plot.

Hi there...
Try this very helpful walkthrough.... I ussed this to connect to teh MSN chat network... you'll be able to do the same for Google also..... it's very easy to follow and there are lots of other very good articles on there tooo..
