Is there a way to keep my ichat status to available at all times. Ichat now changes it to away if a keystroke or mouse click does not occur after (I dont know exactly how many) minutes.
Thanks
Will

Hi Will
Sounds like you're machine is going to sleep. Check your Energy Saver and see how long it's set for.

no that is not it all my energy settings are set to never and so is the screen saver.
the ichat status goe to idle which I have others blocked from seeing and then to away after a certain period of time.
Did Apple change the way ichat does things with the new updates? If so this is disappointing since Apple prides itself on allowing users to customize everything to the way we like it.
Thanks

Will
Look in the Preferences folder;
user>library>preferences
move the iChat preferences to the Desktop and start iChat and see if that makes a difference.
There will probably be three or more.
