TICKET ARCHIVE -> Icons move on desktop

I have a G4 Quicksilver 867 running OSX 10.2.8 - Often the icon for the harddrive moves to various locations on the desktop - as well as at times files saved to the desktop will stack on top of the harddrive icon.
Is this something that indicates coming problems? impending doom? or just that there's a poltergeist in my mac?

Hello. I am cybiko123 and I will (hopefully) be assisting you.
Download Cocktail from www.macosxcocktail.com. When it opens, click FIles. Click Search Subfolders Click DS Store. Click Choose and select your hard drive. Click Choose again.
