TICKET ARCHIVE -> Icons on desktop disappeared

When I started my computer, the icons on the desktop and menu bar at the top disappeared. I tried restarting the computer, still the same problem.
What should I do? What caused this to happen? Why is this happening?
Please help me!

Have you installed Stuufit?
If you have, do a search on your system and trash it all, then reinstall and restart and see if that fixes this problem.
