iMovie 08 is not responding when I launch it. It's the latest update and it just sits there and doesn't load or respond. I have iLife 08 and the other apps with that bundle work Just Fine. I tried uninstalling and re-installing two times already, and the same thing happens again and again. I am at a complete loss as to what happened. The old iMovie from 07 worked just fine !! HELP ME PLEASE

This is the second time I am asking.... I am getting NO HELP Elsewhere

Please Help Me Solve this Problem.......... I have a family waiting to share my
videos with and I can't get iMovie to even LOAD............

Greg,

which version of iMovie are you using? Have you done a software update? In the Apple iMovie 08 forums lots of people suggest this as a solution to your problem.

Get back to me if this doesn't help

I had to really dig into the Apple Support area and finally found out that the software program " DivX " when installed on your computer will NOT ALLOW iMovie to Load. I deleted DviX from my computer and iMovie loaded right away and is only crashing randomly for whatever reason.... Who the hack knows. Anyway tell future clients with the iMovie No Load Problem... To DUMP DviX if they have it installed. And please next ti,e don't dump me into a forum where there is no real expertise............

Glad you solved the problem with iMovie - as far as possible. I didn't like using iMovie version 7.1 (in iLife 08) at all, so I went back to using version 6.0.3. Thanks for your information on divx. I often use the Apple forums

http://discussions.apple.com/index.jspa

and have always found inspiration - maybe not a expert solution. Anyway, the main thing is you got it fixed ;-)
