Have you installed the patches for internet explorer? that is a must! they can be got easy at http://www.browser.com just read around the ie4.0+ icons & they will tell you which ones & where to click to get'm. also if you are running version 4.00.950 of windows 95 there is TWO MUST HAVE patches for it as well that just might stop that as well. to find out go to my computer. right click, choose properties that will bring up the systems properties what does it say in the upper right hand corner for version number? 4.00.950. then go to http://www.microsoft.com & on the left side it says free downloads follow that to get software patches for that version of 95. the 1st one is the service pack 1 & the 2nd is kernel.exe. there is 9 others but them two for know will do the ticket for you!
