TICKET ARCHIVE -> iMac CD Burner not working?

My burner on my 1ghz G4 iMac seems to be not working. It "revs" up and down and sounds like an airplane trying to take off.
I tried burning in both iTunes and Toast, and also tried both from another user account. It reads disks just fine, and I ran one of those fancy "disk drive cleaners" with no results.
Should I consider replacing the drive, or are there additional software solutions to try?

Hi Lach
Try Repairing Permissions. If that doesn't help, replace the drive. If iTunes or Toast won't burn from any account, the drive is bad.
