I have a G3 imac DX from 2000 running 10.1.5 and want to get an airport card for it. I am assuming that I need to buy an old one, not airport extreme. Am I right? If so, where is the best place to look (ebay?)
Thanks

Yes, you're correct. You will need the older Airport card, not an Airport Extreme card. Does your iMac have FireWire ports on the side? If so, then you should be OK. iMacs without FireWire do not have an Airport slot inside.
When you get the Airport card, you will also need to find the AirPort adapter card, which is used only in these older iMacs. That will add another 20-25 dollars to the cost.
Let me know how it goes

Thanks for your help. I found a working card and have that set up. Good advice. Having trouble getting connected though (just posted about that).
Thanks again,
Evan
