Hi, there.

I have some questions about iMac internal parts.

I wuld like to upgrade "Hard disk" & "Super Driver"; however, I'm not sure which products make my iMac better. As it can, will you tell me which brand is okay for my iMac?

Plan

HDD: 80Giga to 200Giga 7200RPM 3.5 inch
Super Driver: estimate to change LG multi DVD+/-RW, CD+/-RW (If I put it into iMac, Is it works like as current superdriver?)

Your HD upgrade may cause overheating of your iMac G4; you'll find out if that happens. Otherwise, as long as you're comfortable taking apart your G4, it's not a problem.

Any third party CD/DVD burner you install will work with Toast, but will not work with Apple's own disk-burning software in 10.x unless you use an utility called Patchburn which will allow the system software to "support" your new CD/DVD drive. Patchburn is available at macupdate.com and versiontracker.com.

Make sure you download a manual of how to disassemble an iMac G4 (and put it back together again). The iMac G4, unlike the first iMac G5 is not meant to be user-serviceable.
